The Kelley family enjoys teaching children about their farm by seeing and having a hands on experience. Teachers, students and children will truly enjoy a day in the country to see and learn about what is grown and how it is grown on the Kelley Farmstead. The field trips are geared for preK-4th grade.
Included in our field trips is a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch to learn how pumpkins grow from seed to pumpkin. Students will take a walk in the sunflower field to see how they are grown. (When available). The corn maze will be explored with an age appropriate game. Children will then have time to enjoy the corn box, play pumpkin checkers or pumpkin tic-tac-toe, explore the combine slides or climb on the tire pyramid. Students will receive a mini pumpkin to take home.
